Overall Opinion
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this book when I first picked it up. I never had a big interest in things like werewolves or in the books case, fenris. But honestly I found this book to be really good and I really enjoyed it. I finished the book fairly quickly because I didn't want to put it down. It was filled with a lot of action and kept me excited to know what would happen next. I loved how the different point of views would change because it kept the book interesting and exciting it really never got boring. The only bad side to the book was that I found it to be a little predictable. I found myself guessing right away that Silas was going to be the potential and I knew that when he got bitten it was going to be too late for him to turn into a fenris. The book was definitely still good though I just wish it surprised me a little more.
Favorite Character
My favorite character was Scarlett because I thought she was really courageous and she always wanted to do what was right. I felt bad for Scarlett at times because she was always left out from whatever Silas and Rosie seemed to be doing together. Scarlett basically gave up her life to fight for other people and protect them from the Fenris that lived all over. She had such great bravery and a lot of wisdom and it was interesting to read through her perspective throughout the book.

More thoughts on this good ole' book.. (Z.Stamps Grade 10)
Hey guys. I definitely enjoyed the book to begin mainly because of the fact that the two girls were the ones who go after the werewolves to kill them. It gives a rather pleasent twist to the fairy tale from my perspective. I like when females have power and don't seem powerless. Two chicks destroying wolves? Absolutely fantastic.
Just Finished-My Opinion(Z.Stamps 10)

SoI liked the prose of the book. But also that the tale and different chapters between the two sisters become very repetitive very soon, a little soon for my liking I must say. I can tell you that when the next door neighbor, Silas comes back to the town that I knew from the jump that Rosie would fall for him and that was another reason i enjoyed this because I love romance!

My Opinion
Overall I strongly disliked the outcome of this novel, "Sisters Red" by Jackson Pearce. Although initially I was intrigued by the plot line of this story, it unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The book began with promising and interesting characters such as Scarlett, who's tough and determined. She fears the wolves but is simply infatuated with the hunt. Or Grandma's immense bravery during the opening scene where she holds back the wolves in order to save the children. These characters seem so exciting and unique, however, as the book slowly progresses the characters become exhausted. Everything becomes so repetitive and these fresh, interesting characters transform into dull, predictable people that are quite honestly boring. Another aspect of the novel I disliked was the cliche romance. As if the predictable characters weren't enough, the romance was so overused in nearly every adult fiction. Of course the main character falls in love with the boy next door. It was horribly unoriginal in my opinion and simply made the book drag on.

Favorite Character
Throughout the novel I had many different feelings towards the character Scarlett. Scarlett became my favorite character because of how brave she was throughout the events of the story. Scarlett proved herself as not only a great role model but also a leader by taking control of the task at hand. She was my favorite character because she became so courageous by willing to give up her own life in order to save/protect the younger girls.
14 chapters left
I can't believe how many fenris tried to jump rosie and scarlett and silas. They were so close to killing the alpha arrow, that was crazy. I was worried when scarlette hit the regular guy with the axe I thought she was going to be caught by police. On top of it all rosie finds the potential fenris in tango class n he pratically kills her while dancing. Thankgod the class was full. I hope they capture the potential fenris.
first ten chapters
So far I've really enjoyed what the book is about and the characters in it. I wasn't going to read this originally but the first few pages were interesting so I chose it. I was so worried that Scarlette was going to die when the fenris killed Oma March. The imagery in the book is expressed really well and whenever they run into a fenris I feel like I'm there to experience it. I can't wait to find out what happens in chapter 11 and so on.

Favorite Character
My Favorite Character throughout the course of the book was Scarlett. Scarlett was my favorite because i love how she was willing to die in order to protect the life's of those younger girls. any other who would have heart to do that should make a likable character. She also had the qualities of a leader and took control on their task.

One part of the book i really thought was good was when the three of them went to hunt so that no more teen girls were getting killed. Scarlett was extremely upset when she was trying to kill one of the wolves but it had already killed a girl. It shows that Scarlett is really determined to help people cause she doesn't want anyone getting hurt like her and her sister almost did. It also shows how brave she can be.

I loved the book! The entire book was full of suspense and love. I'm happy that Silas and Rosie are together. Scarlett is still following her dreams and goals, which is great. But I'm a little sad that Scarlett and Rosie aren't together living in their grandmothers cottage. Even though they still keep in touch and Silas is reunited with his siblings. It's a wonderful ending to already amazing story.

After reading the prologue I needed to read the rest of the book. It is one of the best books I've read. I learned how Scarlett lost her eye and how she got her scars, but the best part was when she saved her little sister by killing the Fenris. Even if she couldn't save her grandmother. Scarlett March is my favorite character so far because of her bravery and love for her sister.

Seperated
At the end of the book, I was somewhat upset and confused as to why the two sisters separated. The two of them had obvious differences but I expected them to resolve them and come to middle ground as apposed to splitting apart. In my opinion the book would have been better ended with a compromise of Rosie taking time off to experience new things and Scarlett taking hunting more seriously instead of this separation.
A story over time
Another outstanding part of this book was not just the story at hand, but the story of the March sisters. Unlike many other books that outline the past then begin with the present, this story was unique in the way it revealed the past. The story begins with the Fenris and how it effected the girls, but the full story is slowly revealed over time in relate-able parts to the current one. This style of writing is not only great in creating suspense but also does a fantastic job of making you feel close to the characters and experiencing their tragic past.

The imagery of the fenris is very life like. I enjoy this because I can visualize what the fenris looks like and what Scarlett and Rosie are seeing when they are hunting them. I enjoy reading the intense scenes, when Scarlett and Rosie hint the fenris this is because there is so much deatail that I feel like I'm fight the fenris with them. Detail and intensity is two main features I look for in a book and is the reason I feel I continue reading because of how life like and intense the book is.

I have just finished the first half of the book
I have just finished the first half of Sisters Red. After reading my favorite character so far is Scarlett. Scarlet will do anything to protect her sister or anyone from the fenris. Also Scarlett is fearless, the fact that she was attacked by a fenris as a young child and now she hunts them for the safety of others is remarkable. She is also a very passionate person as well, Scarlett will do anything to not let a fenris get away. These are all admirable traits in a person and that is why she is my favorite character.
The Fenris
I think the author should have told us more about the Fenris and their history. It didn't really get to involved about where they came from and about all the different types of Fenris.

My favorite character
My favorite character throughout the novel was Scarlett. Scarlett was my favorite because she showed many likable qualities. Scarlett was willing to die to protect the lives of young girls, I think that alone could make anyone like her. She seemed to have been the leader throughout and I liked that because she took control over their mission. She was very determined, confident and brave. She was admirable through the novel. Scarlett had many admirable qualities that many people wish they could obtain.
The beginning
I liked the beginning of the novel because, first with the prologue, it gives you a good idea of what is going on and why some things are happening. Then, in the beginning of chapter one I really liked when Scarlett says, "He's following me. About time," because when you read it, it gives you a little hook, where you want to find out who is 'he'? It also shows that Scarlett is very brave, confident and determined. It shows these qualities because she says she had been trying to get him to follow her, and she is willing to risk her life to try to kill the Fenris and protect the lives of young girls.
Scarlett
My favorite
character from Sisters Red is
Scarlett March. In the beginning the girls barely survived the attack of the
Fenris and Scarlett bravely lost her eye in the process. As the older sister, Scarlett
is the leader in this novel and on page 8 she proves her bravery, “A thought
locked itself in Scarlett’s mind, and she repeated it over and over until it
became a chant, a prayer: I am the only
one left to fight, so now I must kill you.” This quote demonstrates how
strong Scarlett’s will to survive is. In the face of danger, Scarlett is not
afraid.
Scarlet has
become determined to hunt the Fenris and she makes it her life goal. The fact
that she is putting her life in danger just to keep young girls safe is what makes
her a very likable character. As a reader, I was rooting for her through the
whole novel.

I finished the book and I can honestly say I loved it. It had everything I look for in a book: action, imagery, suspense and fantasy. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes to read. Jackson Pearce's use of two different perspectives kept the book interesting and never boring.
My favorite part was the ending. I liked how Jackson Pearce made the reader think Silas was going to turn into a Fenris, but then gave the book a happy ending and made everyone well in the end. Overall, I though the book was great and I am glad I chose Sisters Red as my summer reading book.

I am almost finished with the book and it is getting very intense. Scarlett just found out the Silas is the potential and now Scarlett needs to warn him and Rosie. Scarlett doesn't know that Rosie has been taken hostage by the wolves.
I love the intensity of the book so far. The action has picked up and I cant put the book down. I predict that Scarlett, Rosie and Silas will have a final showdown with the wolves and Scarlett will kill the Alpha of the pack.

I didn't like...
The part I disliked the most was when Scarlett got all upset when she found out Silas and Rosie loved each other. Also when she got mad they were sitting around not hunting, she always wants them up and fighting and she doesn't want them resting. They aren't as into hunting as she is so it seemed unfair to them because it puts their life in danger and they aren't really into it. The fact that she left the apartment really bothered me because if she stayed then Silas wouldn't have looked for her and he would have stayed with Rosie and Rosie wouldn't have been captured and they would just keep living in their apartment safely. Also because Rosie was really worried about her sister and they need each other. I realize that this is what caused the Fenris to be defeated but I feel like it could have been done a safer way. Rosie almost died in their cave and Scarlett almost killed Silas because she thought he was the potential and they all got wounded from the big fight.
I liked when...
My favorite part was when Scarlett realized that she doesn't want Rosie to be like herself and to have scars and be messed up and obsessed with hunting. She wants Rosie to have a life that isn't all about killing Fenris because that's all Scarlett wants to do. She was very upset about Rosie and Silas being in love but she realizes that it was important she had him and Rosie loves something that isn't hunting because Scarlett realized she is too connected to hunting.
I am about halfway through Sisters Red and I can honestly say I enjoy reading this book. So far in the book Scarlett, Silas and Rosie have moved to the city to hunt larger packs. They soon realized that the Fenris are looking for "The Potential," so they can turn him into a Fenris. Scarlett and Silas have now dedicated all their time to figuring out how to locate the potential. While Rosie is exploring other things outside of hunting, because she isn't sure if she is truly a hunter at heart.
I enjoy reading this book because it has fantastic imagery. It paints the perfect picture in my head and while I am reading I feel like I am part of the book. The book also has just enough violence to keep my fifteen year old mind entertained. Overall, I love the book so far. I think that the plot twist will be that Silas is the potential, but I am not sure yet.

Good start to a book
I liked that the book starts right out with the fenris or werewolf attacking the girls and the grandmother. It made me want to read more to see what happens.

Finished the book.
I finished the book last night and I enjoyed it a lot. I never read anything like it. Changing perspectives and the use of imagery was confusing at one point, but it made the book special. It was suspenseful finding out if Silias was the potential or not. I definitely felt the sense of Little Red Riding Hood in this book.
After finishing Sisters Red, I definitely can say that this is one of my favorite books. My favorite aspect of this book was probably how the author switched perspectives between the two sisters Scarlett and Rosie, although it was a bit confusing at times. Throughout the book I eventually did start to get a feeling that Silas was the potential but i was not positive until the very end. Over all this was a very good book that i genuinely enjoyed reading.

I just finished reading Sisters Red and it was a good twist on the common fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. I enjoyed how the author switched views from Scarlett to Rosie. I wish the author shed some insight into Silas's mind. It would have been interesting to see things from his point of view. Other than that the book was overall very good. Is it just me or did anyone else kinda suspect that Silas was the Potential? When they discovered he was I wasn't that surprised.
7/25/13
I felt this book was really good because it was a teenage telling of a very well known fairytale. The book was about two girls named Rosie who was ten and Scarlett who was 12 when they had their first encounter with a Fenris. They were attacked and their grandmother died protecting them from getting hurt. Then we go six years in the future and Rosie is 16 and Scarlett is 18. They come from a place named Ellison and they have a friend named Silas. Rosie and Silas end up together and Rosie is alone fighting Fenris like she feels like she should be all her life. They head out to Atlanta, Georgia to find the Potential and it turns out that their friend Silas is the Potential. They finally realized that is why they got attacked because the Fenris could not find Silas.
7/24/13
I finished the book and overall i thought the book was a very well constructe book a little of everything so it could be a book for everyone. It had romance, adventure, vilence, and family love. The book was very interesting in that the book could do one thing and than you would something and it something else would happen in some situations.

So far, so good.
I am a few chapters into the book now and it seems really good. I was hooked from the first chapter. I like the amount of imagery used and the point of view is interesting. It was easy to tell what the book was about as soon as I read the first page. This feels like a book I would read on my own.
